Are you working on a project in Adobe After Effects. You see "Missing Footage" errors? Don't worry it is easy to fix.
When you move, rename or delete video files from your computer After Effects can't find them anymore. To fix this open your project. Look for the missing file icon in the Project Panel.
Right click on the missing footage and select Replace Footage and then File. Then browse your computer. Choose the correct file. After Effects will connect it to your composition again. If many files are missing from the folder relinking one file can often reconnect the rest.
To avoid missing footage problems:
* Keep all project files in one folder
* Don't rename files after importing them
* Use the Collect Files option before moving projects
Relinking footage is a skill, for video editors and motion designers. Once you learn it fixing missing files becomes easy and quick!
